Date Nights..

Hi All,

This is new for me so we'll see how I do. Look forward to hearing from you.
Last evening we went out for dinner to a sit down restaurant, nothing fancy just not fast food. Well as we were leaving I started musing with my wife some reasons to have a regular date night. Here's what we came up with.
Reasons You should have a regular Date Night
1) So You Can hold your spouse’s hand with out little hands cutting in
2) To Enjoy socially acceptable Dinner conversation
3) To enjoy dinner with out stressing that one or more of the other parties at the table are going to wiggle out of their seat and fall to the floor
4) To enjoy activities without your personal public address system announcing to the world what you’re doing
5) To enjoy the entire movie with out dozens of trips for refills and to use the facilities

So it's nothing spectacular but it was fun conversation and we had a few laughs. It's fun to ramble and muse like this but the truth is that We(all couples) DO need a regular date night. Whether it's once a week or once a month, the dedicated time that we as couples set aside to spend not concerned about our work responsibilites, the house that's a wreck/falling apart, or the darling children that you've entrusted in to the care of another for a few short moments of 'us' time. Obviously any frequency of date night more than once a month would be over burdening financially. The great news is that you don't have to break the bank to have a regular date night and you'll keep your marriage from breaking too. Whether it's a picnic and a nice walk through a park, taking in a movie at your local theater, or pulling out all the stops with a nice dinner and such; the time we spend alone with our spouse to remember the love that God gave us for each other and to nurture it will without doubt have a positive impact on our marriages, families, work, ministry, and every area of our life.

Maybe you have a few reasons you'd like to add? Or maybe some suggestions of economical date night fun?
I'd love to read your thoughts.
